Our history

As The TeraWatts looks to the future, our goal is to become more competitive in the FIRST Robotics Competition while continuing to grow our impact within the community. We are committed to expanding our team and creating more opportunities for students from underrepresented backgrounds to explore STEM, develop lifelong skills, and become the next generation of engineers, scientists, innovators, and leaders.

We also strive to provide our members with opportunities beyond robotics. By building partnerships with industry professionals, universities, and community organizations, we help students connect with scholarships, internships, mentorship, and career pathways. Through company tours, workshops, and networking events, members gain firsthand exposure to STEAM careers and the opportunities available after graduation.

Inclusion remains at the heart of everything we do. As a team made up of students from diverse backgrounds, we are dedicated to creating an environment where every member feels welcomed, valued, and empowered. We actively encourage young women and other underrepresented students to pursue STEAM with confidence, knowing their ideas, talents, and perspectives matter.

No matter how our team evolves, our mission remains the same: to challenge ourselves, support one another, and pursue excellence both on and off the field. By holding ourselves to high standards, learning from every experience, and working together as one team, we continue building a culture of innovation, leadership, and opportunity.
